Max Jason Peterson: Max Jason Peterson (they/Mx.) is a professional member of Sisters in Crime, SFWA, and HWA. With mystery stories in Mystery Magazine/Mystery Weekly Magazine (cover story), Coastal Crimes, Virginia Is for Mysteries Vol. 2 and 3, Seascape: The Best New England Crime Stories, and A Study in Lavender: Queering Sherlock Holmes, they have over 500 stories, poems, art, and articles published all told. This award-winning poet has a collection, Halloween Hearts, published by Jackanapes Press under SF/F byline Adele Gardner. Originally hailing from the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York, Max and their close-knit family love the many beaches and water views of the Hampton Roads region. This genderfluid night owl loves samurai films, reading comics with cats, and shooting/developing film.
